This is about 1000 feet dowstream from the bottom of Snoqualmie Falls. The building to the right houses electrical generators. When the water in rivers is used to generate electrical power, it is put under tremendous pressure, and this causes excessive amounts of nitrogen to be dissolved in the water. This is very harmful to the fish and other aquatic life in the river water (Gregory 716). This picture shows the area where the water emerges from the generators at the power facility at the bottom of Snoqualmie falls.
